Laini Garsden

Laini Garsden started her yoga journey seven years ago in a Bikram Yoga studio at the Gold Coast. Her early exploration of Bikram and Ashtanga started off as quite simply a physical workout and soon became an inevitable journey inwards.

“I was a fairly extreme and high intensity kind of person looking for weight loss and flexibility at the time, what I ended up discovering was so much more!”

She completed her 350hr – Level 1 Yoga Teachers’ Training with Intouch Yoga Byron Bay, under the expertise of Flo Fenton. Flo is a registered senior teacher with Yoga Australia, and a registered Yoga Therapist, trained by masters of Iyengar, Ashtanga, Satyananda and Viniyoga traditions. Laini also completed her training to become a kid’s yoga teacher with Rainbow Kids’ Yoga.

Laini is a people person who is passionate about making people happy, healthy and aware through yoga. She teaches a Hatha vinyasa practice to flow and connect people with their true nature and each other.

Yoga teaches us to acknowledge the relationship between the body, the mind and spirit with our breath. Yoga is creating space, moving through obstacles in our bodies and it teaches us how to live life with enhanced quality. Yoga is freedom and release.”

Laini started Simply U Yoga with a client centred intention for her yoga community. She believes everybody comes to yoga for different reasons, at different times, has their own unique experience on their yoga mats and they leave with a different interpretation of it. Creating a safe environment for people to want to come and nourish themselves and feel connected is her main focus. It is simply about you.

I aim to truly appreciate the beauty of the physical world around me; be present in all of my relationships daily, with myself and with those around me. Throughout my teaching and life journey, I will remain a student forever.”
